1. How do you register?

2. When is the conference?

The iDigTRIO Biological Career Conference will be held virtually February 24-26, 2022. The Resources and Opportunities Fair will be held in-person February 23, 2022. Mentoring and shadowing will occur in the days leading up and following the conference.

3. Who is this conference for?

This conference was created to support students underrepresented in biology, so BLAANA (Black/African-American, Latinx, Asian, Arab, and Native American) students, first generation college students, limited income students  and students with disabilities.

This conference is for both collegiate and precollegiate students and offers content for both audiences.

4. How much does this event cost?

This event is free but we do not have travel or lodging funding available at this time.

5. Is this conference in-person or online?

Hybrid, so both! This hybrid experience will have an in-person career shadowing and mentoring as well as an in-person resource fair and reception followed by a virtual 3-day conference.

6. What is this conference about?

This conference focuses on career and graduate study opportunities in the biological sciences outside of medicine. During the conference you will learn about career opportunities in biology, as well as information about applying and attending college and graduate school. You can find a preliminary agenda here.

7. What are the COVID-19 restrictions/guidelines?

iDigTRIO is following the University of Florida's COVID-19 Health Guidelines.

8. What does the name iDigTRIO mean? 

iDigTRIO = iDig from iDigBio (Integrated Digitized Biocollections) also as in "I dig" it! +TRIO as in the Federal TRIO Programs designed to serve individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds.
